with Texas Women Weekend ...
What to bring:
- Medical information/consent form
- Any medications you might need
- Boots for hiking or horseback riding
(no open-toed shoes on hikes)
- Swimsuit and towel for water sports
- Shoes for boating on the lake (life
jackets are provided and must be worn)
- Extra clothes (you may get dirty or
wet)
- Hat or cap
- Toilet articles (soap, shampoo, etc.)
- Shower shoes
- Flashlight (extra batteries)
- Long pants, long sleeve shirt (for
horseback riding)
- Rain gear (maybe not)
- Pajamas or sleep wear (the funnier,
the better)
- Insect repellant, bug or wasp spray
- Sunscreen
- Money (for balance of your
registration fee)
All supplies and
activities are
included in your registration fee. This
includes a 15-minute chair massage by a registered massage therapist.
Other suggestions:
- Extra towels (linens are provided, but
you may appreciate your own “fluffy” towels)
- Binoculars (for star gazing or bird
watching)
- Cards and games
- Pillow (only if you want to use your
own)
- DVDs (cabins have TV with DVD player)
- Snacks (cabins have kitchen with
microwave)
- Camera
- Earplugs (in case your roommate
snores!)
- Pictures of previous retreat
- Alarm clock (for early morning hikes
or afternoon naps)
- Lawn chairs
- Supplies for your own personal craft
project, such as scrapbooking. (The craft
area is always open and can be used between scheduled events.)
- Money for extras
- Additional tote bags and camp or
plain tee shirts will be on sale in the craft area.
- You may sign up for full body
massage by an RMT.
- Photo CD’s of camp will be sold for
$5 each. (Please use your digital cameras
to capture action shots and bring your media to Paula or Heidi before
the end of camp for transfer to the laptop. Then
everyone’s photos will be combined and burned on a CD for you.)
Important:
- Firearms and alcohol cannot be brought
into camp
