Ahoy, Mateys! The Golden Age
of Pirates mainly falls between the years of 1680-1720. Such notables
as Edward Teach a.k.a. Blackbeard, Captain Henry Morgan, and the female
pirates Anne Bonney and Mary Reade sailed the Caribbean. There was lots of treasure to be had with gold-laden galleons from the
Americas sailing back to England, Spain, and Holland. If hurricanes
didn't take the treasure down with the ship, there was always a pirate
or two about to help make sure the booty didn't make it back to Europe!
